Afghan Square of the Month: The first Thursday 6P-8P OR the first Saturday 9A-11A of each month. A total of twelve different design squares will be offered and can be joined to create a full sized afghan or, for a smaller project, can be used to create one or several pillow tops. Participants must know how to do the knit and purl stitch. Sign up will be done on a monthly basis and joining this group may be done throughout the year.

Every Tuesday (6P-8P) or Thursday (throughout the day and evening): Ongoing workshops to learn how to knit, advance your skills or to work on a self chosen project with experienced help available. These classes are guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing and to provide an enjoyable social time for knitters of all skill levels.

Saturday Classes:

5/06/06 12noon-2p	Knitted Edgings	Learn the basics of lace knitting with this easy to master pattern. Can be used to edge pillowcases, baskets, jars, etc. Guaranteed to expand and enhance your knitting skills. This class is being offered a second time due to many requests.
5/13/06 10a-12noon	Knitted Bear	A fun project to make out of many different yarns. The sample bear in the shop was made using alpaca and is cuddly soft. The finished size is about 13" high. Make one for each of those peiople on your "cuddle list".
5/20/06 10a-2p	Lace Shawl	This is a follow up to the 4/08/06 class. Lucy Stroschine will show us how to knit the draped edge that will provide the finishing element to the lace shawl. This class will also be open to those interested in learing an advanced lace techinique.
5/27/06 10a-2p	Felted Backpack	This is a follow up to the 4/22/06 class as well as an initial class offering to those who were unable to attend the first scheduled class.
6/03/06 1p-3p	Flip Flops	A fun way to fancy up a regular pair of flip flops. CLASS IS FREE with yarn and pattern puchase.
6/10/06 10a-12noon	Summer Top	This tanktop is made out of luscious soy silk yarn. The texture and drape is wonderful. It will be an ideal knitted item to wear this summer.
6/17/06 2 hour sessions	Fixing Mistakes	This clinic will be offered thoughout the day FREE OF CHARGE to those who have attended any class at Yarn and Company. We will show how to repair the most commonly made "creative pattern re-inventions". Pre-registration to this clinic is mandatory.
6/24/06 10a-2p	Summer Tote	This is a "bucket bag" style tote perfect as a purse or as a yarn tote...and who doesn't need more of those? Done in summer colors, it's sure to please.
