Yarn and Company has the most exciting and Ewe-nique classes available!
We offer classes for all skill levels, and carry all of the materials you will need to produce the projects we teach.
We feature new classes every other month, so be sure to check back for the new Class Schedule.

ongoing classes


Every Tuesday (6P-8P) or Thursday (throughout the day and evening): Ongoing workshops to learn how to knit, advance your skills or to work on a self chosen project with experienced help available. These classes are guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing and to provide an enjoyable social time for knitters of all skill levels.

Yarn Dyeing
10a-1p

Learn to create your own palette of painted yarn using professional dyes and heat set using a microwave, of all things! YOU will be responsible for winding and pre-soaking your yarn hanks PRIOR to class [instructions for this will be given with class enrollment]. Dyeing cost will be $3.00 per skein [4 ounce or less]. Wear old clothes. Class size will be limited.

Vest
10a-12noon

You will be able to choose one of three different vest styles being offered. One vest is made using a bulky weight yarn with wrapped and dropped stitches making it a very quick-to-finish vest. The second vest has a 3 tab button closure at the very top and can be made in a single color or made using different colors for each side and back panel. The third vest has a front wrap which may be closed using a button, a shawl pin, or a special broach. Two additional follow-up classes [ 1/24 and 2/7 ]are required and today's class fee will cover all three class days [total of 6 hours].

Felted Backpack
10a-1p

This can be made using many different yarns resulting in many variations of the same
10A-1P pattern.Try self-striping, verigated, kettle dyed, or monochromatic yarns or make up your own color creation. One two hour follow up class [on 2/21/09] is required and today's class fee will cover the 4 hour fee

Baby Surprise Jacket
10a-1p

Elizabeth Zimmerman designed this unbelievable sweater which is knit in one piece,is reversible, has no side or armhole seams, and can be made in any weight yarn. Two follow up classes [2/28 and 3/14] are required and today's class fee will cover all 7 hours. An additional, private class may be needed.

WAS NOT PURCHASED FROM YARN AND COMPANY.

Private or group classes are available and encouraged. Call and we'll do our best to accommodate your wishes.

To make the most of your class time, please have all supplies ready prior to the scheduled class time.
A 50% deposit of the class fee will guarantee your place in your chosen class.
With less than 3 days cancellation notice, your payment will be forfeited.
