3/06/10

Happy Endings
10a-2p

Remember promising yourself to complete all those unfinished projects? Schedule one hour, four hours or whatever it takes to get your knitting back under control. WE CAN HELP YOU......four knitting needles are better than two. [This applies only to unfinished projects using Yarn and Company yarn].

3/13/10

Hexagon Purse
10a-1p

Make Your own Vest,
Without a Pattern

2p-4p

A beautiful felted purse made by using self-striping yarn or controlling color changes yourself. The hexagons build on each other so there is minimal finishing. The hexagon tops create a unique purse opening. This is a wonderful project for perfecting "picking up" and learning to cast on in the middle of a piece.
Class One of Two, See 3/27/10

We will make a mitered vest from our own created pattern. READY FOR THE FUN???
Class One of Two, See 3/27/10

3/20/10 Customizing a Pattern
10a-2p

Not sure what size to make, how to change the neckline, how long should the arms be, what if I want it shorter/longer, what if the pattern sizing is all wrong?? Anita will show us how to work a pattern based on schematics specific to YOUR fit, size and style. Your garment will no longer "fit the neighbor" rather than the person you intended. Imagine being able to buy the amount of yarn needed and not guessing.
Bring lunch, a tape measure, calculator and a favorite garment that has the fit you love most.

4/10/10 Now What???
10a-1p
Okay, so you know how to knit and purl but you realize that there is so much more. Learn to recognize stitches, count rows, measure a swatch, ladder down to fix a mistake, how to un-knit. You can't correct mistakes unless you can "read" your knitting. We will make a story board to practice, to keep for future reference, and to demonstrations the types and reasonings for different types of increases and decreases.
