LET'S GET STARTED
The weekend getaway will start Friday at 7pm with a gMeet and Greeth activity, refreshments, prizes and laughter.

SATURDAY
Morning/Afternoon- Moebius.......or Not
~Choose the traditional Moebius technique which shows the specific type of cast-on required to make a strip of infinity knitting that has a half twist as well as a cast-on which is at the center of the knitted strip rather than at it’s edge. This is a great technique for making scarves, caplets, cowls, or any other project with a unique twist. A basic stockinette/reverse stockinette pattern will be shown and you can start your very own moebius since it’s basic knitting in the round after doing the cast on

~Or choose to do the ".....or not" part of this class offering which will be to make a reversible strip of knitting then join it AFTERWARDS. For this, we will show two different types of provisional cast-ons using waste yarn, examples and handouts of reversible knitting patterns, and demonstrate how to remove the waste yarn. You can stop there or you can get started on your own “or not” moebius

SUNDAY
Morning- Make Your Own Beaded Row Counter
Instructions and materials will be provided by Yarn and Company free of charge. Simply bring a tapestry or large eyed needle for bead threading. Bring extra beads, perle cotton and/or waxed linen and make additional row counters at the “Bead Buffet Bar”.

MORE "STUFF"
~There will be A “Chinese Auction” throughout the weekend, with the drawing held on Sunday.
~If you want to start something new, knitting kits and accessories will be displayed and will be available for purchase as well as an offering of sale items provided by Yarn & Company.
~A knitting themed sweatshirt will be available for purchase with pre-order by Friday, 8/19/11.
Design and pricing will be sent later via e-mail as well as upon registration with Yarn and Company.
~A Lunch Social will take place for our noon meal on Saturday accompanied by a secret knitting project. Bring a size 8 knitting needle and everything else will be provided by Yarn and Company.

ABOUT TYGART LAKE STATE PARK
Located in North-Central West Virginia near Grafton, Tygart Lake State Park has cabins about 4 miles away from the lodge as well as 20 rooms in the lodge itself. Visit their website at www.tygartlake.com for a virtual tour and to obtain information concerning directions to their facility [about 25 minutes from I-79, about 20 minutes from Benedum Airport]. It will be a WONDERFUL place to sit, knit and enjoy the beautiful view of the eleven mile long lake, the fresh country air and the fall weather. The Boston Beanery is now their food service provider. Yum-m-m-m-m-!

PRICING
~This event is limited to 30 attendees....make sure to register and to make your reservation EARLY.
~Registration Fee: the $30.00 non refundable registration fee is payable to Yarn and Company with an early bird discount of $5.00 if received by Yarn and Company before August 1, 2011.
~Tygart Lake State Park is offering a special package price of $193.70 which includes all taxes and gratuities for two nights lodging [based on double room occupancy with both reservations being made AT THE SAME TIME ], three Saturday meals and a Sunday brunch, refreshments, all of the scheduled activities and a whole lotta fun! A single room occupancy rate is available for $269.90.
~Tygart Lake State Park is also offering a "Day Rate" of $117.39 for those who want to participate in everything but the overnight lodging. The above mentioned registration fee also applies here.

Check in time is 4pm or later on Friday, September 16.
Check out time is noon on Sunday, September 18, however, the conference room and the knitter- friendly lobby may be enjoyed until 4 pm.
