Knitter's Weeked Getaway Nov 2010

SANTA'S HELPERS
We will plan on getting your projects organized for Christmas and will provide a "Santa's Sack" full of ideas for projects taking only one skein, are quick to knit, holiday themed knitting, small budget knit ideas, "Wow, did you make this?" projects and items which are simple, stylish and fashionable.

We will also provide:
~Pattern support [some free, some not].
~Completed items for your viewing and inspiration.
~Knitted gifts for sale.....very important when you are short on time.
~Available kits for purchase.

BRING ALL YOUR NEEDLES
.......we never know which project ideas will put your needles into action. Santa's helpers will be available mornings and afternoons to help you and to direct you so that the Grinch will not steal YOUR Christmas this year. Be a Santa's Helper yourself and bring in ideas or projects that might be interesting to others...if you bring patterns to share with others, please be mindful of potential copyright infringements.

LET'S GET STARTED
The weekend getaway will start Friday at 7PM with a Meet-and-Greet with refreshments, holiday punch and a few surprises...yep, we've got some tricks up our elf sleeves.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
~Take advantage of the conference rooms or the knitter-friendly lobby to knit, to socialize or to relax
to your heart's content. Santa's Helpers will be available in the conference rooms 10 am until 12noon
on Saturday and Sunday as well as 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm on Saturday to provide assistance and
enthusiasm for your chosen project[s].
~There will be a BOOK EXCHANGE in the lodge lobby on Saturday evening so bring a new or used
knitting themed book with a short note to identify yourself as the giver as well to explain why this is a
book that you have chosen to share.
~There will be an on-going raffle with the drawing to be held on Sunday after lunch [you need not be
present to win]. Tickets will be $1.00 each or six for $5.00.

ABOUT TYGART STATE PARK
Located in North-Central West Virginia near Grafton, Tygart Lake State Park has cabins about 4 miles away from the lodge as well as 20 rooms in the lodge itself. Visit their website at www.tygartlake.com for a vitual tour and to obtain information concerning directions to their facility. It will be a wonderful place to sit and knit while enjoying the expansive view of the lake, fresh country air, the comfort of the facilities and warm hospitality of the staff.

ABOUT YARN AND COMPANY
Located in the serene mountains of West Virginia, Elkins is the home of a truly Ewe~nique yarn shop. Catering to beginners as well as to seasoned veterans of the knitting needle, Yarn and Company is a wonderful blend of personal attention, casual atmosphere, exciting classes, friendly people, and a place to "come sit and knit".

PRICING
~Registration Fee: the $25.00 non refundable registration fee is payable to Yarn and Company with
an early bird discount of $5.00 if your registration is received by Yarn and Company before
September1, 2010.
~Tygart Lake State Park is offering the special package price of $193.70 which includes all taxes and
gratuities for two nights lodging [based on double room occupancy with both reservations being
made AT THE SAME TIME ], 5 meals, refreshments, and a whole lotta fun.
~Tygart Lake State Park is also offering a "Day Rate" of $118 for those who want to participate in
everything but the overnight lodging. The above mentioned registration fee also applies to these
individuals.

Check in time is 4pm or later on Friday, November 5.
Check out time is noon on Sunday, November 7.
Knitting will continue until as late as 4p.
